A Jordanian terrorist indicted in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and later freed by New York federal prosecutors, has been identified as the second gunman in the 1990 assassination of\u00a0<strong>Rabbi Meir Kahane.\u00a0<\/strong>The admission came in a series of confessions by Egyptian<strong>\u00a0El Sayyid Nosair,\u00a0<\/strong>convicted in the murder. The new evidence uncovered by investigative reporter Peter Lance and published in <a title=\"Tabletmag\" href=\"http:\/\/tabletmag.com\/jewish-news-and-politics\/44243\/first-blood\"><strong>Tabletmag.com <\/strong><\/a>also links Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda to the slaying.<\/p>\n<p>The detailed confessions in which Nosair names\u00a0<strong>Bilal Alkaisi,<\/strong>\u00a0who worked at the al Farooq Mosque on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, are contained in a series of FBI 302 memos obtained by <strong>Lance.\u00a0<\/strong>In addition to supplying details of the Kahane slaying, never previously made public, the 302\u2019s also recount an admission by Nosair that his original target, prior to gunning down Kahane was Israeli Prime Minister\u00a0<strong>Ariel Sharon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A previous story, reported by Lance also named Alkaisi as the lead shooter in the grisly 1991 homicide of bin laden associate\u00a0<strong>Mustafa Shalabi,<\/strong>\u00a0the Egyptian who ran the Alkifah Center at the Brooklyn Mosque.<\/p>\n<p>As Lance reported, additional FBI 302\u2019s he\u2019s obtained provide gruesome details of Shalabi\u2019s slaying committed, two years to the day before the Twin Towers bombing. According to the confessions, Alkasi was the lead killer. His accomplices were\u00a0<strong>Mohammed Salameh,\u00a0<\/strong>a Palestinian<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>illegal alien and\u00a0<strong>Nidal Ayyad, a\u00a0<\/strong>Kuwaiti \u00e9migr\u00e9 both later convicted in the WTC bombing that killed 6 and injured 1000 on February 26th, 1993.<\/p>\n<p>The discovery of the 302\u2019s withheld from the NYPD by investigators for the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) was prompted by an investigation Lance conducted in conjunction with an article to be published August 13th in the September issue of PLAYBOY<em>\u00a0<\/em>magazine.<\/p>\n<p>The piece chronicles the untold story of former Egyptian Army Major <strong>Emad Salem<\/strong>, who became a U.S. naturalized citizen and infiltrated the WTC bombing cell in 1992 at the request of the FBI; only to be forced out by a senior Bureau administrator prior to the bombing.<\/p>\n<p>The PLAYBOY article quotes Salem in a 1993 taped conversation with his FBI handler noting that if the Feds had allowed Salem\u2019s undercover role to continue, they could have prevented the Trade Center blast. The agent (<strong>John Anticev)<\/strong> is then recorded saying, \u201cAbsolutely.
